MARRIAGE - 1872 - Sitzenkirch, Kandern, Germany (translated by Christof & Ernst Schwald, Maulburg, German)
To the office of Sitzenkirch came:
Johannes Schwald, 24 years old, born in Kaltenbach commune Malsburg, now living in
Riedlingen, son of Johannes Schwald, farmer, who died at Kaltenbach and his still living
wife Magdalena, born Pfunder and Anna Maria Kropf, 26 years old, born in Sitzenkirch,
living in Sitzenkirch, daughter of Friedrich Kropf, Wagner, and his wife Maria, born Adolf,
who died in Sitzenkirch, to concrete the promised marriage.
Respecting the orders of the court in Müllheim this marriage was published at the commune house from 21 of April to
the 28 of April including both days. An objection against this marriage was not given
since, so the registrar had asked man and wife if they would like to take each other as partners.
After both having answered with yes he declared in the name of law that both
now are bound with the band of matrimony.
This was said and written in the commune house of Sitzenkirch in presence of:
Johann Friedrich Adolf, farmer from Sitzenkirch
Johann Georg Schwald, farmer from Marzell
After reading this record was signed by all persons, the officer and the Bürgermeister.
The handwritten part, that only Christof's Father Ernst Schwald was able to translate,
means nearly the same. It says that the marriage was also published in Malsburg and
Riedlingen from 21. to 28. of April without protest and that the record was declared and
signed by all persons.
NOTE:(A Wagner is a maker of wooden wheels for wagons & wooden tools for farmers)
